my hair is long and i like it long. my bangs are about shoulder length, my hair is light brownish dark blondish, and under colored. i really like my hair light colored and am thinking highlights to give it a better color. but im not sure, im 14 and want a look thats says girly, funky, mild punk, skater chic all in one. NOTHING GOTH EMO OR PREPPY! some pics i like are these

but i want something thats less punk and more skater girly chic, with just a dash of punk. im thinking of going blonde but i just dont know what to do, please help

Wow. I'm not alone in the world! you basically described me. Well, I'm about to get my hair cut too. and I'm thinking about getting wispy bangs. I've never had bangs...Well not since I was 5. But yeah. Try really long bangs that you can wear down or to the side. and Then have long layers on either side of your face.

Or part your hair how you like it parted, and get the hair person to cut long layers going down.

And I recommend the hillights. I get them when I get my hair done, and I dunno. It's kind of like a difference without going all out.

I love the pictures you have but I'm too much of a chicken to do it myself. Haha. I mean, I dress very different and wild, but am MUCH more conservative with my hair.

I think that you should do the pink and blonde highlights! its hot your young have fun! and i really like that style.

i think you should just recolor it the sme but have highlights of lie auburn and blonde and gold brown. also have it like choppy all the way down. it will look very cute!

I really like your hair i love the color i think you should get high and low lights which are blonde and darker brown.I think you should get side bangs to the side. hope i help!!!!

if you wanted something subtle, but with that stylish look you want, you can choose something similar to the pictures you provided and keep the color toned down. you can show the pictures to the hairstylist, let her know what you're interested in, and then see what her insight is (since she is more knowledgeable with hair types). keep in mind, too, that she will also incorporate what may look best on you...be adventurous and just go for that new look; hair grows back anyway. take care and good luck.
